Unlike engineering and multi-disciplined design firms with survey departments, Berding Surveying specializes in only Land Surveying. Without a design component, we do not compete with our clients who are design professionals. Our clients have repeatedly found that outsourcing what has become a specialized service eliminates the overhead and down time expense associated with maintaining in-house survey crews.

About Berding Surveying

about

G. J. Berding Surveying, Inc. is a full-service professional surveying firm located in the eastern Cincinnati suburb of Milford, Ohio. Conveniently located within minutes of the I-275 beltway, the company has easy access to the entire Greater Cincinnati area as well as Northern Kentucky and the I-71/I-75 corridor.

G. J. Berding Surveying, Inc.’s commitment to excellence in land surveying is manifested through its extensive capital investment in measuring devices, vehicles and communication systems. The firm’s success to provide land surveying services is demonstrated by the large number of satisfied clients. G. J. Berding Surveying, Inc. has provided boundary, topographic, location and stakeout surveys on hundreds of projects from land acquisition to construction and utility relocations.  Our surveyors know that their product defines the characteristics and opportunities of each site and are committed to accurate and fast response.

The company outfits its surveyors and office personnel with all of the latest technology to provide our clients with the best possible product.

In addition to conventional surveying systems, G. J. Berding Surveying has acquired the next generation of equipment available to the surveying profession with the purchase of a Trimble 4400 and 4700 real time kinematic GPS (Global Positioning System).

The GPS system allows for the collection of data at millimeter accuracy without the need for line-of-sight between points on the ground.  Precision geodetic equipment enables the computation staff to handle virtually any control project.  Combining Global Positioning System technology with conventional methods, they create an efficient approach to many surveying and mapping needs.

Computations, survey drawings and plans are prepared by our technical support staff using six CADD stations.  AutoCad 2002, Softdesk products and C&G Survey are the software programs most regularly used to reduce survey data and prepare finished drawings.

The firm has completed extensive projects involving right-of-way acquisition by the Ohio Department of Transportation.  This past experience and the completion of mandated technical training has allowed the firm to become prequalified for ODOT and KDOT projects.

3D Laser Scanning and Modeling services were introduced in July of 2001.  Employing the Leica Laser Scanning System, millimeter accuracy scans can be completed “capturing” a multitude of x,y & z coordinate values for modeling and plan preparation.
